During the opening ceremony, speeches were given by, among others, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gawkowski, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors in protecting cyberspace.
Over the course of two days, congress participants will have the opportunity to take part in thematic sessions and workshops led by world-class experts.
“Cybersecurity today is a topic that transcends all others,” remarked Krzysztof Gawkowski. The Minister highlighted that Poland is currently at the forefront of a hybrid war with Russia and must be ready to respond in real time. "Poland currently has the best civil-military coordination in the European Union," he added.
Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk spoke about the threats faced daily by the Polish Armed Forces. “Polish soldiers defend us all from cyber threats around the clock, 24/7. Just in the military alone, we face 5,000 to 6,000 attacks per year on our military networks,” he informed. He also stated, “Victory will belong to those who can combine the domains of the 20th and 21st centuries—drones and trenches, satellites and anti-tank ditches.”
Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology Tomasz Lewandowski highlighted the need for business involvement. “Resilience to cyberattacks cannot be built solely within the administration. Without convincing citizens and businesses to invest in cybersecurity, government actions will not be fully effective.”
Tomasz Kobierski, President of the MTP Group, spoke about the role of trade fairs in building awareness and a common strategy: “Trade fairs are a meeting place for people thinking about the future—and when thinking about the future, one must think about cybersecurity.”
The International Cybersecurity Congress IN.SE.CON 2025 is also a unique opportunity for hands-on learning in dedicated zones, such as the CyberHackLab and Cyber Bastion, where participants can test their skills in defending against cyberattacks.
The IN.SE.CON 2025 Congress, a meeting of cybersecurity leaders, is held under the honorary patronage of Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Ministry of Development and Technology, and the Digital Poland Project Center. Partners include Microsoft, Bank Pekao S.A., T-Mobile, ePrinus, Dell Technologies, Palo Alto Networks, and CyCommSec.
