Future technologies in Poland: potential, ambitions and real possibilities
There are people in the world of technology, innovation and public debate who need no introduction. One of them is Maciej Kawecki PhD, who will lead the panel discussion ‘Poland's potential in creating future technologies’ on the Main Stage of the IN.SE.CON 2026 Congress.
Maciej Kawecki, PhD is the President of the Lem Institute, Director of the Innovation Centre at WSB Merito University, a science journalist and one of the most recognisable technology popularisers in Poland. For years, he has been consistently combining the worlds of science, business and new technologies with public debate, reaching a wide audience also through his own channel, ‘This is IT’.
Maciej Kawecki actively promotes Polish innovation, domestic technological thought and a responsible approach to the development of modern solutions. This is particularly important in today's world, where, alongside stable international alliances, the ability to quickly and as widely as possible build one's own technological independence is playing an increasingly important role. This is not about complete self-sufficiency, which is impossible in today's global economy, but about the dynamic development of one's own competences, solutions and industrial base – including in the area of defence – based on domestic ideas, domestic industry and human resources.
As the moderator of the panel dedicated to Poland's potential in creating the technologies of the future, he guarantees a high level of expertise, dynamic discussion and skilful combination of different perspectives – from science and business to administration and the public sector. The composition of the panel, which will include representatives of communities that have a real impact on the development of technology in Poland, will be presented soon.
The panel discussion entitled ‘Poland's potential in creating the technologies of the future’ will take place on the second day of the Congress, 16 April.
